About

Noa Lachmi (b. 1997, Aarhus, Denmark) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice unfolds at the intersection of mysticism, embodiment, and symbolic language. Drawing on her Jewish-Yemeni heritage and metaphysical thought, her work explores the body as a vessel where personal memory and universal structures meet. Through painting, drawing, object-making, writing, and performance, Lachmi constructs layered compositions in which anatomical forms merge with botanical structures, dissolving boundaries between matter and spirit.

Her visual language unfolds through luminous color, recurring motifs, and intricate symbolic systems, creating contemplative spaces where the boundaries between science, art, and spiritual devotion dissolve and merge into one body. Central to her work is an ongoing investigation of interconnectedness: how trauma and tenderness, fear and love, are held within our shared existence. Each work becomes a meditation on the human condition, proposing a vision grounded in both vulnerability and transcendence.

Noa Lachmi lives and works in Copenhagen, where she studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Recent solo and group exhibitions include Minor Gallery, Copenhagen; Den Frie Udstillingsbygning, Copenhagen; Eighteen, Copenhagen; Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen; OUTPOST, Copenhagen; Kunst Salonen, Denmark; and à mon avis, Copenhagen.
